As a business owner, I have learned that I can literally make as much money as I want or as I choose. If I am feeling bad for myself and having a week where I don’t even want to get out to bed, then I don’t make much money. But if I am on fire and feeling confident, I’ve made over $70,000 in a week. And that is not a huge amount of money. I know people that make more than that consistently. And you can, too. You just need two things. A plan (aka system or process) and a drive to make it happen.
Let’s start with the Plan.
I am a big systems person. Systems allow you to be efficient and effective and productive. They allow you to take out the guess work. Systems can help us keep the routine things routine and conserve energy for the bigger decisions or actions.
Did you know that the average millionaire has 7 streams of income?
When I committed to investing, I had ZERO streams of income. So acquiring seven seemed ludicrous. I hardly knew how to even acquire one, how was I supposed to achieve 7?
I now have 25 Streams of Income –
13 Properties (95 units)
1 Fund
6 Domains
Real Estate Transactions
Revenue Share from my Real Estate Team
I invested in all of these cash flowing, income producing, appreciating assets, using the same system.
Here is my system–
Step 1: Learn the TRUE power of real estate.
Step 2: Set Your Goals
Step 3: Build Your Team
Step 4: Analyze Your Market
Step 5: Analyze Individual Properties
Step 6: Make Offers
Step 7: Purchase
Step 8: Repeat
Regardless of strategy, what you want to invest in or how you want to invest, you can use this framework or system to achieve wealth and financial freedom.
In my opinion, THE MOST important step, the one that sets those that achieve from those that never get started is step 2 – set your goals.
This is a PROCESS in and of itself. It is not something that happens overnight. It starts with a change in your mindset.
Mindset is something we always have to pay attention to. The truth is, we see what you want to see. Call it manifesting or visualizing, we look for the things we want to see. This can go in a positive or negative direction and it plays out in so many ways. Think about the people we surround ourselves with, the drama we have or don’t have in our lives, our bank accounts. We have actively created the situations. We aren’t victims, we are participants.
If we want to make a change, we have to start with our mindset and start looking for the things we want. But do we really know what we want? Most people don’t have a clue.
Most people know what society wants for them. What their boss wants. What their mom wants. But so many of us NEVER take the time to define SUCCESS for OURSELVES. We’d rather pursue the next promotion or buy the next shiny object. And so many times were left feeling unfulfilled or disappointed.
But when we really take the time to reflect on the life we want and commit to making that life happen, we wake up every morning ON FIRE. We have limitless energy, and it shows. We literally shine. For ourselves and everyone around us.
But then sometimes we lose some momentum, or traction, and our confidence falters. And so many of us quit. We just leave it there. Because staying the course is hard. But it is worth it. And it doesn’t happen over night. It is not a one time thing. It’s about constantly and continually moving toward your dreams.
One goal at a time.
